Attendance at the Opening Ceremony is mandatory.

Any team that chooses not to attend without the express permission of Empire may face a competition penalty.

During this time, you should do the following:

• Introduce yourself to the opposing team;
• Announce your witness call order;
• Ensure that your Witness Call Order and Team Lineup forms are submitted in PROcess;
• Complete the character evidence form (it's PDF), if applicable;
• If you are using a demonstrative, please show it to opposing counsel at this time.

Your GW Attorney (i.e. student directing the GW) and your GW Witness (i.e. student portraying the GW in another trial) should head to their separate "Prep" rooms to meet their respective partners for the round, and to practice their direct examinations.

Your attorney and witness should spend about 20 minutes preparing for trial before heading to their assigned courtrooms at ~6:45 PM.
